And we keep our registrants informed of new video content, promotions, and trends in the industry.

A company account allows shopping at special rates, and for businesses within the European Union shopping without sales tax. Please contact our sales team in regard to special rates, terms, and framework agreements. A company account also allows easy sharing of shot lists and created projects with your colleagues.

The Framepool collection consists of video and film materials. The increasing image resolution of the video cameras allow that individual frames can be used for printing and online purposes. Therefore, we have implemented the option to select stills licenses for customers in the print and online publishing industry.

We offer film and video footage in two different license categories: Royalty Free (RF) and Rights Managed (RM).

With RF licenses you are paying only a one-time license fee, even if you use the material several times and in various projects. RF is a perpetual license that provides the re-use of the relevant shots by the same customer. RF material often consists of ordinary content that is optimized for the usage in basic promotional projects.

RM licenses specify the use of shots with respect to the media (TV, internet, cinema, etc.), the duration and the geographical distribution. The fee will be calculated once you have decided on the exact manner of use. RM material is of the highest quality, requiring superior technical equipment and artistic skills. This license category therefore provides high value-added footage material for the customer's production.

License packs: In order to simplify the use of RM footage, we have pre-selected license packs, that cover essential rights of use in a package to be selected at one click. Some licensors offer such licenses specifically for the Internet at very reasonable rates.

To refine your footage search, you can either add more keywords or use the filter options offered in the sidebar to the left.

The shots at Framepool have different resolutions. A shot description window will open if you click in the "stills" mode on a shot. There you can look up the resolution information and the possible picture size at a 300 dpi print resolution.

Stills are chosen from each video shot. Regardless if you are searching in the stills or video mode, you are initially searching video shots. This step is followed by the selection of the still frames within a shot. If not there yet, switch to the stills mode, and click the "+" symbol. You can then select your individual still frames from the video shot. In the detailed view of a shot and being in the stills mode, you can select any still frames directly by clicking on the image.

Stills are chosen from each video shot. Transferred over from Google search, you land directly in the photo detail view of a video shot. Switch to the stills mode and select the desired frame by clicking on the image, then place it in the cart.

There are two ways:

On the page with the shot details (opens when you click at the search result on the keyframe of the shot) you will find on the left sidebar a BIN showing more shots that were filmed at the same shoot and location.

Similar shots that have been found by the image similarity search of the Framepool website are displayed below the BIN. This selection is filtered out through a combination of computer generated matching keywords and patterns.

Visual Search finds images that are visually similar to a sample image. The computer generates a combination of matching keywords and patterns. Click at the shot for which you want to look for similar images to the symbol "≈". The website returns results that are similar to the image pattern and the keywords. You can adjust the proportion of keyword matching or pattern matching at the left sidebar. Click the control fields on the right side to increase the proportion of keywords. Click on the left side to reduce the tag proportion and increase the image pattern proportion.

The majority of our shots is not extensively colour graded in order to maintain the most possible flexibility in post production.

Film and video materials are copyrighted. When licensing footage or stills, Framepool concludes, on behalf of the copyright owners of the respective shots, a licensing agreement with you being granted the right to use the footage in your project. The scope of the rights granted may vary as described under RM, RF and License packs.

• The price for Royalty Free (RF) shots is displayed directly.
• License packs can be purchased with just one click. The rights to be acquired and the price will be displayed after you click on the desired license type.
• To calculate Rights Managed (RM) shots, proceed in four steps:
• Step 1: select the type of production - or the "usage" - from the list. We already have put together some standard types of film uses in cinema, TV, Internet and other media for your convenience. By clicking on the little black question mark on the right side of the calculation window, you will get a more detailed definition of the selected production type.
• Step 2: select the media where your production is to be published. The media package is generally more cost effective than the individual selection.
• Step 3: determine the duration of the desired use. Acquiring a longer term can be relatively less expensive than the acquisition of a short-term use.
• Step 4: select, if applicable, the territory for the use of the footage. Countries bought together in a package (for example a continent) can be cheaper than individual choices of many countries. For some types of usages, you will be asked to choose a number of copies or a number of transmission screens.

You can purchase such non-commercial licenses if you choose the license pack "internet editorial use".

In addition to the copyright, film and video images may include third-party rights of persons depicted, artists, monuments, music, or other protected content. These rights must be respected in the case of any promotional use of the licensed material and, if necessary, specifically cleared. Symbols and information with each shot point to this topic.

The indicated license fee is valid for 20 seconds of a shot. If the length of a selected shot exceeds 20 seconds, you will be asked to trim the shot with "TC-in" and "TC-out". You can specify the part of the shot you want to use and avoid an increase of the license fee. Additional seconds may be used but will be charged in addition.
